A Few Memorable Photos From Penang
Posted On Thursday, January 14, 2016 at at 2:25 AM by AlvinWe would just leave you with a few of the memorable and colorful images of this lovely island and sure one day, perhaps even next year, we would be back ! Ah... beautiful temples, stunning street arts, relaxing atmosphere, neat gardens, eye-popping pottery shop (find of the Century for us pottery lovers) and the taste and aroma of the famed Penang white coffee, sipped in an ultra-laid-back Kedai Kopi !
The Sunny Paradise Island State - Penang
Posted On Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at at 8:29 PM by AlvinChasing away the Winter blues, we landed on this lovely island on an evening flight and was whisked away to our apartment in the area of Tanjong Bungah - ah, a balmy 25 C ! Over the next ten days, we would just sit back and relax and just get out and about for half a day before the sun became too strong. Well, our routines certainly kept us busy though, there were beaches, national parks, botanical gardens, UNESCO-famed Georgetown, cool ritzy shopping malls, pottery shops, and loads of Chinese, Thai and Myanmese temples, including the hair-raising snake temple (!), waiting for our exploration; not to mention the delicious Malaysian food such as Nasi Ayam (chicken rice) and Char Kwai Teow (stir and fry noodles) ! One note of interest about this peaceful island was that the number of tourists was never going to out-number the locals because after-all, Penang was a work-a-day island state and not your typical holiday island like Hai Nan, Koh Samui or Phuket.
