What's Up Al ? 遊記隨筆 生活點滴

Riding the Moscow Metro had been one of the memorable highlights during our brief 5 days visit. The stations were dug deep, clean, rats-free, commercials kept to a bare minimal, no informercials TV on the trains to annoy you and ventilation was surprisingly good as we never had the sooty nostrils at the end of the day. We found the Muscovites polite and almost without fail, always give up their seats to the needed and best of all, each station was like a minature museum waiting for our exploration. We visited a few gems on our way : Mayakovskaya (colorful mosaic ceilings), Ploshchad Revolyutsii (bronze statues), Kropotkinskaya (beautiful marble columns), Kosomolskaya (luxurious chandeliers),  Novoslobodskaya (stained glass windows) and Novokuznetskaya (patriotic ceiling paintings).
